LifeLine Honored as Second Fastest Growing Firm in City

Pittsburgh Business Times announces Pittsburgh's "Top 100," with LifeLine Center for Sleep Disorders ranked number two.

In its annual recognition of the region’s fastest-growing companies, Pittsburgh Business Times recognized LifeLine Center for Sleep Disorders as one of Pittsburgh’s Top 100.

Nearly 300 guests gathered for the Pittsburgh Business Times Pittsburgh 100 awards reception held August 21, 2008, at the Duquesne Club, Pittsburgh. The awards ceremony recognized the 100 fastest growing privately owned companies in Western Pennsylvania. At the top of the list, Empyrean Services LLC received honors for its 784% revenue growth from 2005 to 2007. LifeLine Center for Sleep Disorders took second place honors for its 456% growth.

Each year, hundreds of companies vie for a spot on the coveted list and are vetted through a rigorous review process. Industry-specific growth awards are also presented in categories ranging from manufacturing and transportation to energy and real estate. LifeLine was also feted in the Professional Services/Consulting category.

“It’s certainly an honor to be recognized in the business community,” said Dann Scheiferstein, President, LifeLine Centers. “We have a committed group of employees who are working hard to make sure that people in Western Pennsylvania are tested and treated for sleep disorders. Our growth is because of their dedication. We’re going to continue to serve as the region’s leading sleep center, making studies and treatment available to everyone.”

When asked if the LifeLine team will slow down its efforts to expand through new locations, its position as the first provider of home-based sleep studies and partnering with physician groups and hospitals, Scheiferstein smiled, “I’ll sleep well when more of our neighbors do.”
